“Degredation” goes on the cover of Cancer Cell journal (Nov 2025)

Excited to share that my artwork has been featured on the cover of Cancer Cell! This piece accompanies a paper I was fortunate to contribute to, exploring new insights into immune regulation. Our research reveals how our immune system fine-tunes its own power by controlling the breakdown of the IL-15 receptor (IL-15R) — a key molecule that activates immune cells. When this process is blocked, immune cells become stronger at fighting tumors.
The painting highlights IL-15R as a stylized, abstract ribbon structure undergoing degradation after it is tagged for destruction by the CRL5 complex.
