Inner Galaxy

This painting visualises human lung cells! Blue colour represents nuclei, which contain the cell’s genetic information, and yellow colour shows mitochondria, which generates energy for the cell.

It sounds like each cell is a galaxy, and each nucleus is a planet, with lots of stars and meteors dancing around it… This painting was inspired by an image adopted from the book “Science Is Beautiful: The Human Body Under the Microscope” First Edition by Colin Salter.
