80 days of internet blackout in Iran—80 days of being barely able to speak with loved ones or see their faces.
Created during the war in Iran in early 2026, this work reflects a period when silence itself became the defining condition of everyday life. Within this enforced isolation, fragments of news still emerged: accounts of violence, war, and the ongoing executions of protesters and political prisoners.
A homeland held in darkness—unseen, disconnected, unheard.
The blackout eventually lasted 88 days.
