Empower the Sentinel

This painting depicts CAR-T cells (green) interacting with cancer cells (purple/blue). CAR-T cell therapy is a form of immunotherapy in which a patient’s T cells are genetically modified to recognize and destroy cancer cells.

The work is composed of four separate canvases (each 20 × 25 cm), arranged as a modular composition that can be displayed in different configurations. This flexibility reflects the evolving nature of cancer treatment, inviting viewers to shift their perspective on cancer and its treatment as a process of transformation and possibility.

The painting was inspired by a microscopic image generated by Dr. Prasad Adusumilli from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, USA.

Acrylic on canvas, total size 40 x 50 x 4 cm (16 × 20 × 1.5 in, approx.). Finished with a satin varnish for UV protection and long-term preservation.
